Outstanding Ofsted letter for TKAT's Hilltop Primary School
There was a fantastic outcome to the recent ungraded inspection at Hilltop Primary School in Crawley.
The letter from Ofsted said the evidence suggested the school could have been rated as Outstanding if it had been a graded inspection.
Led by co-headteachers Abby McNiven and Ross Farndon, Hilltop is one of 4 51³Ô¹ÏÍøprimary schools that is using a co-headship model successfully.
The Ofsted report stated that staff have very high expectations of what pupils can achieve and that pupils achieve exceptionally well because the school provides an interesting and well-considered curriculum.
Inspectors said:
‘Pupils are very proud to attend this vibrant and welcoming school.'
'Pupils love the attractive learning environments and they benefit extensively from the rich and varied experiences that the school carefully plans.'
'The personal development curriculum is meticulously planned and pupils conduct themselves exceptionally well.’
Neil Small, 51³Ô¹ÏÍøSenior Director for Primaries commented:
'The Hilltop report is a testament to the team and how they have raised expectations.
We are so proud that Ofsted recognised the visible improvements implemented. A great example of a school that has continued to strive and pushed on.'
